The former CFO of Digital China Group Chen replaces Andy Tsui.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Philippines.- DigiPlus Interactive has appointed Ping Chen<\/strong> as its new president and board director. Chen succeeds former president Andy Tsui<\/strong>, who stepped down after more than four years in the role. The appointment was approved during the company\u2019s annual stockholders\u2019 meeting and subsequent board organisational meeting on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio H. Tanco<\/strong> described the move as a strategic step for the company\u2019s next phase of growth. \u201cBringing Ping Chen on board at this exact moment is a strategic move for DigiPlus,\u201d Tanco said. \u201cHis extensive global experience, strategic insight, and proven leadership capabilities position him well to help steer the company through our next phase of expansion and long-term value creation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before joining DigiPlus, Chen served as chief financial officer, chief investment officer and executive committee member at the Chinese e-business tech services company Digital China Group. He previously spent around two decades in investment banking in Hong Kong and London, holding senior positions at Citigroup, Moelis & Company, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a media briefing, Chen said his priorities would include improving financial performance, increasing operational efficiency and strengthening DigiPlus\u2019 long-term strategy. \u201cMy mandate is to help design our long-term strategy and execute, also to improve our financial performance and operational efficiency, to deliver higher value to investors and achieve sustainable growth,\u201d Chen said.<\/p>\n\n\n
