This year\u2019s programme expands the collaboration with aerospace science education institutions across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as well as national-level organisations in mainland China. The six-month project includes two main activities: the Macau Youth Creative Design Competition of Space Experiment<\/strong> for secondary school students from Form 2 to Form 5, and the Aerospace Scenario Experience Camp <\/strong>for Primary 5 and Primary 6 students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the secondary school competition, participants will receive training from national aerospace experts through online and in-person sessions covering China\u2019s aerospace development, space environments and payload experiments. Teams will then submit experiment designs to be evaluated by experts from the CSA and Macau\u2019s science and technology sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Award-winning teams will participate in an aerospace study tour in Beijing later this year, visiting aerospace companies, museums and universities while attending seminars with industry specialists. The competition\u2019s champion team will also represent Macau at the 2026 International Space Science and Scientific Payload Competition (ISSSP 2026) in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The project was first introduced in 2024 and became the Chinese Society of Astronautics\u2019 inaugural science education initiative in Macau. It was later recognised as an Outstanding Event of the 2024 National Science Popularisation Day by the China Association for Science and Technology. Since launch, the programme has attracted 672 student participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kenneth Feng<\/strong>, chief executive officer and executive director of MGM China Holdings Limited, said: \u201cThe project aims to cultivate future technology leaders for Macau and inspire young people to play a part in the nation\u2019s aerospace journey.
