Australia.- Ainsworth Game Technology<\/strong>‘s 2026 annual general meeting today saw the broad approval of board appointments but opposition to executive remuneration and some constitutional changes. The company\u2019s remuneration report received more than 25 per cent of votes against, triggering a first strike under Australia\u2019s corporate governance rules. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the resolution passed, the level of dissent places the board on notice to address concerns ahead of next year\u2019s AGM to avoid escalation to a potential second strike. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Directorship renewal proposals saw mixed results. Graeme Campbell<\/strong>, Haig Asenbauer<\/strong> and Birgit Wimmer<\/strong> received shareholder backing, while close to three quarters of shareholders voted against the proposal of Samuel Levy <\/strong>as a non-executive director. Levy\u2019s nomination had attracted attention due to support from minority investor Kjerulf Ainsworth<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shareholders also rejected two special resolutions proposing constitutional amendments and the renewal of proportional takeover provisions. <\/p>\n\n\n
