South Korea.- Korea Sports Promotion Foundation<\/strong>‘s Sports Lottery and Sports Racing Division and Gwangmyeong Police Station have conducted a gambling education programme for all 880 students at Gwangmyeong High School. The initiative focused on the dangers of illegal gambling among minors, which has become a social concern in South Korea<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professional counsellors explained the different forms of illegal gambling, real-life cases, addiction risks and available prevention methods. Students also used the Campaign for Adolescent Gambling Intervention<\/strong> (CAGI) screening tool to evaluate their own level of risk, while receiving information on reporting channels, counselling services and treatment support systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organisers highlighted the importance of cooperation between schools, law enforcement agencies and public institutions to strengthen prevention efforts. A public awareness campaign was also held for Youth Month in Gwangmyeong, with events across several locations, including the Gwangmyeong City Youth Centre, attracting around 4,000 participants.<\/p>\n\n\n
