It was the lowest monthly figure so far this year, and down from <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/singapore-visitor-arrivals-up-2-8-in-q1\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/singapore-visitor-arrivals-up-2-8-in-q1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">1.43 million arrivals in March.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to data from the <strong>Singapore Tourism Board<\/strong>, overnight visitors decreased 7.9 per cent to 933,840, and the average length of stay decreased by 2.1 per cent to 3.36 days.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arrivals from <strong>mainland China<\/strong>, traditionally the city-state\u2019s largest inbound tourism market, grew 5 per cent year-on-year to 217,870. The other top-five markets for inbound tourists were Indonesia (164,200), Australia (115,340), India (107,160), and Malaysia (99,300). Out of those markets, only mainland China saw year-on-year growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>March&#8217;s total takes the city-state\u2019s aggregate international visitor volume for the first four months of this year to 5.76 million, a 0.9 per cent year-on-year increase.
