The figure was down by 0.13 per cent from AUD3.034bn (US$2.20bn) a year earlier. Net profit after tax and before amortisation of acquired intangibles (NPATA) came in at AUD794.0m (US$575m) up 8.4 per cent year-on-year. EBITDA from continuing operations increased 5.6 per cent to AUD1.32bn (US$954m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Statutory profit attributable to shareholders fell from AUD970.3m (US$703m) a year earlier to  AUD805.5m (US$583m). Earnings per share also declined to AUD1.309 (US$0.95), down from AUD1.54 (US$1.11).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Segment profit from gaming reached AUD1.06bn (US$766m). North America and Australia\u2013New Zealand continued to deliver most growth, while international markets outside those regions also saw improved performance. Revenue from the company\u2019s \u201crest of world\u201d operations increased more than 18 per cent to AUD403.7m (US$292m), while EBITDA from those markets rose to AUD184.1m (US$133m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Machine shipment volumes were slightly lower than the previous year at 2,799 units but improved pricing and stronger product performance helped offset the decline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Product Madness, Aristocrat\u2019s social gaming business, recorded revenue of AUD546.2m (US$395m), down 4.1 per cent year-on-year. The company said growth in its social casino segment partly offset declines in other areas of the portfolio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aristocrat Interactive, which includes iLottery and igaming operations, recorded revenue growth of 6.5 per cent to AUD230.3m (US$167m). Segment profit fell 10.6 per cent to AUD64.34m (US$46.6m) as the company continued investing in newly acquired businesses and completed its exit from white-label operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company declared an interim unfranked dividend of AUD0.50 per share (US$0.36), totalling AUD301m (US$218m). Aristocrat has also expanded its share buyback programme by AUD1bn (US$724m) and extended it through May 2027. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of March, net debt stood at AUD948.6m (US$686m).
