GKL has posted casino sales of KRW40.2bn (US$27.7m) for the fourth month of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

South Korea.- Grand Korea Leisure (GKL)<\/strong> has shared its financial results for the month of April. Casino sales were KRW40.2bn (US$27.7m)<\/strong>, up 11.1 per cent in year-on-year terms and 25.7 per cent month-on-month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Table-game<\/strong> revenue was KRW37bn (US$25.4m), up 12.7 per cent from April 2025 and 30.2 per cent compared to March<\/a>. Machine game<\/strong> sales were KRW3.16bn (US$2.2m), down 4.6 per cent year-on-year, and 10.6 per cent sequentially. The table drop grew 20.5 per cent year-on-year and 1.9 per cent month-on-month to KRW345.7bn (US$238m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first four months of the year<\/strong>, Grand Korea Leisure reported casino sales of KRW146.8bn (US$101m), up 1.7 per cent compared to the January-April period of 2025, primarily due to stronger growth in machine sales. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

GKL operates\u00a0three foreigner-only casinos<\/strong>\u00a0under the Seven Luck brand: two in the capital, Seoul (including one in Gangnam) and the other in the southeastern port city of Busan. It operates as a subsidiary of the Korea Tourism Organization, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. Recently, the company\u00a0announced a plan<\/a>\u00a0to generate casino revenue of KRW503.8bn (US$333.8m) by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n
