The group was notified that they are no longer allowed to place wagers with the company online or at retail venues. In letters sent to those affected, Tabcorp said the decision was made \u201cin good faith\u201d and in line with its regulatory and compliance obligations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis decision has been made for the purpose of managing and mitigating risk,\u201d the company stated, warning that any attempt to bypass the ban could lead to legal consequences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among those impacted is professional gambler Steve Fletcher, a well-known figure in the racing sector. He was informed that his custom was \u201coutside of Tabcorp\u2019s risk appetite.\u201d Fletcher\u2019s legal representatives have asked the operator to clarify what specific risks or issues led to the decision.<\/p>\n\n\n
