Macau.- SJM Resorts has hosted a food safety workshop and business matching session in Macau as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)<\/strong> and enhance supply chain standards. The event, co-organised with the Macau Union Suppliers Association<\/strong> and supported by multiple government bodies, took place at the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau on April 22 and attracted more than 80 participants representing 55 local SMEs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme included food safety seminars, product showcases and one-on-one business matching sessions. SJM\u2019s food safety team outlined the company\u2019s standards, audit mechanisms and supplier requirements across procurement and receiving processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Ip Sio Man<\/strong>, president of the Macau Union Suppliers Association, the event aimed to help local SMEs align more closely with the requirements of large-scale resort operators. Monica Ng<\/strong>, SJM’s vice president of Supply Chain (Operations & Services) said the company continues to expand its spending with SME partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the business matching sessions, around one-third of those attending had no prior relationship with SJM.<\/p>\n\n\n
