Indonesia.- Online gambling deposits in Indonesia rose following Eid al-Fitr<\/strong>, according to the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre<\/strong> (PPATK). The agency has reported a \u201csharp\u201d increase in deposits both during and immediately after the March 19\u201320 holiday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PPATK chief Ivan Yustiavandana<\/strong> said the pattern was consistent with previous years. \u201cThe sharpest increase typically occurs after Eid, when money circulation rises nationwide,\u201d he said, noting that higher disposable income and increased leisure time during the holidays tend to drive betting activity despite the ongoing crackdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recent weeks,police dismantled 132 online casino sites in a coordinated operation led by the national police’s cybercrime unit.<\/p>\n\n\n
