Macau.- CreditSights has reported that gross gaming revenue (GGR) per visitor in Macau fell to MOP4,943 (US$618) in February, down 20 per cent month-on-month and 21 per cent year-on-year. That was totally expected because the Chinese New Year holiday attracted a larger share of family travellers and non-gaming tourists, diluting per-capita casino spending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0Statistics and Census Service (DSEC)\u00a0has reported that the number of visitor arrivals to Macau increased by 32.6 per cent year-on-year to\u00a04,172,940 in February\u00a02026, driven by the\u00a0Lunar New Year holidays<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ)\u00a0reported that Macau\u2019s gross gaming revenue (GGR) was\u00a0MOP20.63bn (US$2.57bn)\u00a0in February<\/a>. That\u2019s an increase of 4.5 per cent in year-on-year terms, but 8.9 per cent down from\u00a0January<\/a>\u00a0(MOP22.63bn). Cumulatively, Macau\u2019s GGR for the two months of 2026 was\u00a0MOP43.26bn (US$5.38bn), up 13.9 per cent year-on-year but still 14 per cent below pre-pandemic levels (US$6.26bn).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
