Vietnam.- Sun Group<\/strong> and Marriott International <\/strong>have announced the expansion of their strategic partnership with plans to develop 10 new hotels and resorts across Vietnam. The agreement, signed on March 23 in Phu Quoc, will add nearly 4,500 rooms<\/strong>, with openings expected between 2026 and 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collaboration involves the Marriott International brands<\/strong> W Hotels, Marriott Hotels, Westin, Le M\u00e9ridien, Courtyard by Marriott, Fairfield, Moxy Hotels, and Four Points by Sheraton. W Hotels and Moxy Hotels will make their debut in Vietnam. The majority of the new properties will be located in Phu Quoc<\/strong>, with others in Vung Tau. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The number of hotels managed by Marriott International in Vietnam has doubled since 2022. Partnering with Sun Group \u2013 one of the highly visionary destination developers, signing an additional 10 hotels this time \u2013 helps us continue to affirm our long-term commitment to this market.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The companies already collaborate on several high-profile projects, including the JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay and Ritz-Carlton and The Luxury Collection properties on Hon Thom Island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phu Quoc, located off Vietnam\u2019s south-west coast in Kien Giang province, is already a key leisure destination and home to the\u00a0Corona Resort & Casino<\/a>, one of only two casino complexes in the country currently authorised to admit qualifying local players, alongside the\u00a0Grand Ho Tram casino resort<\/a>. Beyond hospitality expansion, Sun Group is supporting infrastructure, including aviation initiatives and airport development<\/a>, aimed at positioning Phu Quoc as a regional gateway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
