The Philippines.- DigiPlus Interactive Corp. says it has joined a technical working group tasked with drafting new legislation for online gaming in the Philippines. The group, which also includes the Philippine Senate and Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR), is said to be focused on creating a regulatory framework designed to improve consumer protection, increase transparency and raise compliance standards across the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the company, upcoming legislation will introduce tighter controls on payment channels and stricter marketing rules, aiming to establish a more secure and sustainable operating environment for licensed operators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DigiPlus chairman Eusebio Tanco<\/strong> said the company welcomes closer collaboration with authorities, stressing that stronger regulation will help ensure that only compliant operators remain active. President Andy Tsu<\/strong>i confirmed the company\u2019s direct involvement in the discussions and said he expects stricter oversight rather than a ban on online gaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DigiPlus aims to recover from last year\u2019s e-wallet delinking order, which disrupted payment channels. The operator expects a full recovery by the second half of 2026, supported by a shift towards proprietary platforms and expanded offline payment options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For full-year 2025<\/a>, the company reported that revenue rose 12 per cent to PHP84.2bn (US$1.4bn) while net income was flat at PHP12.6bn (US$208m).<\/p>\n\n\n
