That brings it closer to the 75 per cent threshold that could allow it to take the listed subsidiary private.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The updated ownership level was disclosed in filings with Bursa Malaysia. It follows the failure of Genting Berhad\u2019s takeover offer in late 2025, after which it <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/genting-bhd-edges-closer-to-75-stake-in-genting-malaysia\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/genting-bhd-edges-closer-to-75-stake-in-genting-malaysia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">held 73.133 per cent of Genting Malaysia<\/a>. Recent market purchases were made at around MYR1.97 (US$0.50) per share, below the MYR2.35 (US$0.60) per share price offered during the takeover bid launched in October 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under listing rules, companies seeking to delist must first obtain sufficient ownership and then make an offer to remaining shareholders.
