Macau.- The Financial Services Bureau<\/strong> has reported that Macau collected MOP94.85bn (US$11.8bn)<\/strong> in gaming taxes in 2025. The figure was up 7.6 per cent year-on-year, and slightly surpassed the government\u2019s 2025 budget plan<\/a> forecast of MOP93.12bn (US$11.52bn).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gaming taxes remained the dominant source of government income, accounting for 82.7 per cent of the MOP114.64bn ($14.3bn) in revenue recorded in 2025. Under the 10-year concessions that came into effect on January 1, 2023, casinos pay 40 per cent on GGR.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) reported that Macau\u2019s gross gaming revenue (GGR) for 2025 was\u00a0MOP247.40bn (US$30.9bn)<\/a>, up 9.1 per cent year-on-year. The figure represented 84.6 per cent of the 2019 total of MOP292.46bn (US$36.5 billion) before the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For 2026, the Macau governments’ 2026 fiscal budget plan estimates that income from taxes on the gaming sector will reach MOP92.53bn (US$11.52bn).<\/p>\n\n\n
