Its satellite casino closure on December 2 resulted in the loss of nearly one month of anticipated income.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.- Gaming equipment firm Paradise Entertainment has forecast a 63.5 per cent year-on-year drop in its 2025 profit to HK$139.4m (US$17.83m). It said this was partly due to the closure of the SJM-licensed Kam Pek on December 2, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company had hoped to continue running the casino until the government-mandated December 31 closure, but SJM terminated the agreement ahead of schedule, resulting in the loss of nearly one month of anticipated income for the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cessation of casino management services at Kam Pek Casino contributed to a 11.9 per cent drop in revenue to HK$85.2m (US$10.9m). Revenue was also affected by payments to employees and reimbursements to SJM for gaming staff, totalling HK$42.1m (US$5.38m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Performance in 2025 was further weighed down by a steep fall in revenue from its electronic gaming equipment business, particularly LMG terminals and systems in Macau. In dollar terms, the division recorded a decline of 45.3 per cent from the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paradise indicated that demand for LMG terminals slowed as customers awaited the launch of the Black Coral system. With the rollout of Black Coral, the company expects player engagement to improve and existing LMG terminals to be replaced more quickly, contributing to future revenue growth in this division.<\/p>\n\n\n
