The company, which operates Solaire Resort Entertainment City and Solaire Resort North in Metro Manila as well as Jeju Sun Hotel & Casino in South Korea, said softer premium gaming activity was the primary factor.

Bloomberry posted gross gaming revenue (GGR) of PHP59.8bn (US$1.07bn), representing a 3 per cent decrease compared with the previous year. Net revenue slipped 1 per cent year-on-year to PHP52.5bn (US$940m) while a net loss of PHP2.6bn (US$44.7m) compared to net income of PHP2.6bn in 2024.

Despite the overall downturn, the company saw stronger contributions from mass-market gaming and non-gaming businesses. Non-gaming revenue rose 21 per cent to PHP12.9bn (US$231m), supported by hotel, food and beverage and retail operations.

Cash operating expenses for the year rose 16 per cent to PHP42.3bn due to the full-year impact of Solaire Resort North operations and costs incurred by MegaFUNalo, the company’s broad-mass online gaming platform. Operating expenses attributable to MegaFUNalo were PHP1.9bn.

Solaire Resort North, the company’s second integrated resort in Metro Manila, opened in May 2024. The property delivered growth in mass gaming volume and non-gaming revenue, helping cushion the impact of weaker VIP demand at the flagship Solaire Resort Entertainment City.

Enrique K. Razon Jr., Bloomberry chairman and CEO, said: “2025 was a challenging year, marked by softer inbound tourism and the residual effects of the July 2024 POGO ban, which weighed on revenues across VIP and premium mass. Regulatory uncertainty in the online space also tempered the rollout of our newest digital platform. Bloomberry’s Philippine gaming revenue declined by 3 per cent; however, we outperformed the broader integrated resort market, supported by the continued ramp-up of Solaire Resort North and the resilience of our domestic mass-market business.”

“In response to softer revenues, we introduced gaming and resort enhancements to both Solaire properties as well as implemented expense management measures across our business. Our debt refinancing activities in October 2024 and February 2025 have and continue to contribute cost savings as benchmark rates on our floating-rate loans continue to ease. We anticipate further gains from these initiatives in 2026. In the online segment, we remain confident in the long-term opportunity as we await greater regulatory clarity and continue strengthening the competitiveness and user experience of our digital platforms.”

   See also:

See also: Genting Malaysia returns to profit

Bloomberry Resorts Corporation reported a 39% YoY decline in FY2025 consolidated EBITDA to PHP10.2bn, primarily due to softer premium gaming activity and the 2024 POGO ban.
