GKL has posted casino sales of KRW38.08bn (US$25.8m) for the second month of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
South Korea.- Grand Korea Leisure (GKL)<\/strong> has shared its financial results for the month of February. Casino sales were KRW38.08bn (US$25.8m)<\/strong>, up 17.3 per cent in year-on-year terms and 4 per cent month-on-month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Table-game revenue was KRW34.75bn (US$23.6m), 15.9 per cent ahead of February 2025, and up 5 per cent compared to January<\/a>. Machine game sales were KRW3.32bn (US$2.3m), up 35 per cent year-on-year, but 5.4 per cent down sequentially.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For the first two months of the year, Grand Korea Leisure reported casino sales of KRW74.67bn (US$50.6m), up 11.8 per cent compared to the January-February period of 2025. Table games accounted for KRW67.84bn (US$46m), a 10.5 per cent year-on-year increase, while machine games brought in KRW6.84bn (US$4.6m), up 26.8 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n GKL operates three foreigner-only casinos<\/strong> under the Seven Luck brand. Two are situated in the capital, Seoul (including one in Gangnam), and the other in the southeastern port city of Busan. The company operates as a subsidiary of the Korea Tourism Organization, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Last month, GKL insisted that it has\u00a0no plans to develop a casino resort in Seoul<\/a>. The Korea Economic Daily had claimed that the company was preparing to develop its own venue in the capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n
