All casino concessionaires have joined the initiative to extend maternity leave to 90 days and paternity leave to seven days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.- SJM Resorts has announced is the last Macau casino concessionaire to confirm extended paid leave for employees in Macau. The measures took effect on March 1, 2026, when the change was also implemented by the five other gaming concessionaires<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the new policy, paid maternity leave has been increased from 70 to 90 days for female employees with at least one year of service, while paid paternity leave has been extended from five to seven days. The Macao SAR Government promoted the initiative to encourage childbirth and strengthen family support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement, managing director Daisy Ho said: “The well-being and family happiness of our employees have always been at the core of our values, and a robust family support framework is key to attracting and retaining the best talent. This latest enhancement is a true reflection of our steadfast commitment to our people, and we hope that through our strengthened parental benefits, SJM can be the most reliable pillar of support for every employee during the most meaningful moments of their lives.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the extension of leave, SJM has also established lactation rooms in its back-of-house areas, provided employees with a newborn gift voucher and introduced a range of family support initiatives, it noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLooking ahead, the company will continue to introduce more family-friendly measures, working hand-in-hand with employees to build a warmer and more harmonious workplace for all,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
