The Philippines.- Alejandro H. Tengco<\/strong>, chairman and CEO of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), has been named Best Entertainment Tourism Leader<\/strong> at the 32nd Sk\u00e5l International Makati Tourism Personality Awards. The ceremony was held at the Grand Ballroom of Okada Manila. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organised by Sk\u00e5l International Makati, the annual event honours individuals and institutions who made significant contributions to advance the Philippine tourism industry. During his acceptance speech, Tengco said the recognition highlighted PAGCOR\u2019s role<\/a> in strengthening the entertainment and integrated resort sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said: \u201cWhile many see us primarily as a gaming regulator, we see ourselves as partners in promoting destinations, creating jobs, and strengthening the tourism ecosystem that improves the lives of millions of Filipinos,\u201d he said and noted that responsibly managed integrated resorts help attract domestic and foreign travellers, spur local enterprise, and expand livelihood opportunities in host communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
