Gross gaming revenue reached US$2.57bn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.- The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ)<\/strong> has reported that Macau\u2019s gross gaming revenue (GGR) was MOP20.63bn (US$2.57bn)<\/strong> in February. That\u2019s an increase of 4.5 per cent in year-on-year terms, but 8.9 per cent down from January\u2019s GGR<\/a>, which stood at MOP22.63bn (US$2.79bn), the highest January total since 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

February was expected to see a better performance due to the Chinese New Year holiday<\/a>. The Public Security Police Force (PSP) reported that 1.55 million visitors entered Macau over the nine-day Chinese New Year break, which started on February 15 and ended on February 23. JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley<\/a> analysts said Chinese New Year gaming in Macau started slowly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cumulatively, Macau\u2019s GGR for the two months of 2026 was MOP43.26bn (US$5.38bn)<\/strong>, up 13.9 per cent year-on-year. However, the figure remains 14 per cent below pre-pandemic levels (US$6.26bn).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Macau\u2019s GGR for 2025 was MOP247.40bn (US$30.9bn)<\/a>. That\u2019s a rise of 9.1 per cent year-on-year and surpassed the government forecast<\/a> of MOP228bn. The figure represented 84.6 per cent of the 2019 total of MOP292.46bn (US$36.5 billion) before the Covid-19 pandemic. Contributing to the performance was strong December GGR, up 14.8 per cent year-on-year to MOP20.89bn (US$2.61bn).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
