According to officials, the winning ticket was purchased in the <strong>Girandurukotte area of <strong>Badulla <\/strong>District<\/strong>. It prize was <strong>Rs. 629,855,919.60<\/strong> (US$6.94m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The winner will be officially confirmed after the ticket\u2019s authenticity is verified and all required legal, financial and compliance procedures related to the payout are completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The winnings will be taxed once at <strong>14 per cent<\/strong> under regulations governing lottery prizes.
