Indonesia.- Authorities have confirmed the arrest of 39 Indian nationals<\/strong> in Bali<\/strong> in an operation targeting an online gambling network. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a press briefing at Bali Police headquarters<\/strong> on Saturday, February 7<\/strong>, Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya<\/strong> told reporters the investigation began in January <\/strong>after police found that an Instagram account Rambetexchange<\/strong> was allegedly promoting the online gambling platform Ram Betting Exchange<\/strong>, with posts providing links for deposits, withdrawals, and support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities traced the online gambling operation to two villas, one at Subak Daksina Street<\/strong>, Tibubeneng<\/strong>, Badung<\/strong>, and another at Jalan Raya Munggu<\/strong>, Kediri, Tabanan<\/strong>. They were raided on February 3<\/strong>, leading to arrests and seizures of phones, laptops and computers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adityajaya said 35 people have been formally charged and taken into custody, while four others remain under investigation as witnesses. The individuals face prosecution under Indonesia\u2019s 2024 Electronic Information and Transactions Law, which carries maximum sentences of nine years in prison and fines of Rp200m<\/strong> (US$11,892).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The suspects reportedly entered Indonesia on tourist visas and have been running the operation since late 2025<\/strong>. The setup was estimated to be generating around Rp7bn\u2013Rp8bn<\/strong> (US$413,000\u2013US$472,000) per month, with each villa producing roughly Rp4.3bn<\/strong> (US$255,693) in revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials are currently investigating whether the suspects have links to networks in Cambodia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n
