The company has launched licensed taxi booking in Macau and limousine transfers across the Greater Bay Area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.- Uber <\/strong>has today launched services in Macau<\/strong> in-app taxi booking for licensed Macau taxis alongside pre-booked cross-border transfers connecting Macau and Hong Kong<\/strong>. The Uber app now allows users to request licensed Macau taxis, with fares calculated by the regulated taxi metre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cross-border transfers with transport provider Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance and up to 90 days ahead. The upfront price includes bridge and tunnel tolls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uber left Macau in 2017 after getting hit with fines due to the lack of a legal ride-sharing framework. The company sold its mainland China business to Didi Global in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Estyn Chung<\/strong>, general manager of Uber Hong Kong, said: \u201cWe\u2019re pleased to introduce a new way for people to travel easily between Hong Kong and Macau, as well as getting around in Macau when they are there. It\u2019s great to be supporting Macau\u2019s tourism goals, helping locals get around the city and bringing new opportunities for drivers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n
