January casino revenue rose 11.2 per cent compared to the previous month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

South Korea.- Jeju Dream Tower, the foreigner-only integrated resort operated by Lotte Tour Development on South Korea\u2019s Jeju Island, has reported casino sales of nearly KRW45.60bn (US$31.3m) for January. The figure represents a 55 per cent increase year-on-year and an 11.2 per cent rise compared to December, according to a filing submitted to the Korea Exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revenue from table games totalled KRW43.73bn (US$30.0m), up 55.4 per cent from January last year and 12.4 per cent higher month-on-month. The table games hold rate stood at 18.7 per cent, slightly above the 18.5 per cent average recorded last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gaming machine revenue reached KRW1.87bn (US$1.3m), reflecting a 46 per cent year-on-year increase, although it was down 11.8 per cent compared to December. The January table drop rose by 92.8 per cent year-on-year to KRW233.50bn (US$160.2m) and was up 21.6 per cent sequentially. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, hotel sales at Jeju Dream Tower reached nearly KRW5.61bn (US$3.9m) in January, representing a modest 2.2 per cent increase year-on-year, but a 25.3 per cent decline compared to the previous month.<\/p>\n\n\n
