Singapore.- Genting Singapore<\/strong> has appointed Lim Kok Thay<\/strong> as chairman and director of Resorts World Sentosa (RWS)<\/strong>, the integrated resort operator in Singapore. The leadership change is effective as of yesterday (February 1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lim, 74, takes on the additional responsibility while continuing his existing duties as executive chairman of Genting Singapore<\/strong> and its parent company Genting Berhad<\/strong>, as well as his roles within the wider Genting Group. Lim will be responsible for providing leadership to the RWS board of directors, overseeing corporate governance, setting strategic direction and ensuring effective board performance, consolidating his influence across Genting gaming and hospitality assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lim, the son of Genting founder Lim Goh Tong<\/strong>, has been with the Genting Group since 1976. Day-to-day operations at Resorts World Sentosa remain under CEO Lee Shi Ruh<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In December, Si Chen\u00a0assumed the role of chief operating officer (COO)<\/a> at\u00a0Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), coming from the post of CEO and representative director of\u00a0Inspire Entertainment Resort<\/strong>\u00a0in Incheon, South Korea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
