The Monetary Authority of Macau has reported that fiscal reserves reached US$82.9bn by the end of November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.- The Monetary Authority of Macau (AMCM)<\/strong> has reported that the jurisdiction’s fiscal reserves rose by 7.6 per cent<\/strong> in the first 11 months of 2025, reaching MOP663.2bn (US$82.9bn) at the end of November. That reflects an increase of roughly MOP 47bn (US$5.8bn) compared with the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The increase underscores strong fiscal performance as Macau continues its economic recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic, particularly supported by the gaming and tourism sectors. Fiscal assets at the end of November were close to the territory\u2019s all-time record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reserve comprises both the extraordinary reserve and the basic reserve, the latter calculated at 150 per cent of central government spending. The fiscal reserve\u2019s growth comes amid broader indicators of Macau\u2019s economic recovery.\u00a0Gaming tax revenue in Macau reached MOP86.74bn (US$10.82bn) in the first 11 months<\/a> of 2025, up 7 per cent year-on-year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ<\/strong>) reported that Macau\u2019s gross gaming revenue (GGR) for 2025 was\u00a0MOP247.40bn (US$30.9bn)<\/a>. That\u2019s a rise of 9.1 per cent year-on-year and surpasses the\u00a0government forecast<\/a>\u00a0of MOP228bn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
