South Korea.- The foreigner-only casino operator Grand Korea Leisure (GKL)<\/strong> has posted a net profit increase of more than 40 per cent<\/strong> for 2025. That’s according to the company\u2019s regulatory filing published on Wednesday, January 21<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consolidated net income rose 42.4 per cent year-on-year to KRW47.1bn<\/strong> (US$32m), compared with KRW33.1bn<\/strong> (US$22.5m) in 2024. Pre-tax net income from continuing operations climbed 44.5 per cent to KRW63.1bn<\/strong> (US$42.9m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Annual sales reached KRW422.9bn<\/strong> (US$287.7m), up 6.7 per cent from KRW396.4bn<\/strong>. Operating income rose 37.4 per cent to KRW52.6bn<\/strong> (US$35.8m), driven by higher casino use and improved cost management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of 2025, the operator had total assets of KRW651.3bn <\/strong>(US$443.2m), up from KRW616.2b<\/strong>n (US$419.3m). Total liabilities were KRW209.8bn<\/strong> (US$142.8m), while shareholders equity was KRW441.5bn<\/strong> (US$300.4m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GKL, which runs the Seven Luck brand<\/strong>, said the stronger performance was largely due to a recovery in international visitor traffic and patronage. <\/p>\n\n\n
