Vietnam\u2019s integrated resort pledges strict compliance and internationally-aligned safeguards while opening casino access to eligible local gamblers under the government pilot programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Vietnam.- On January 5, the Grand Ho Tram<\/strong> officially began welcoming eligible Vietnamese guests to its casino<\/a> under the government\u2019s five-year pilot programme<\/a> for prize-based gaming, marking a significant evolution in the country\u2019s cautious expansion of local access to casino gaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CEO Walt Power<\/strong> told Vietnam Investment Review that the resort is \u201ccommitted to delivering entertainment experiences in an environment that is safe, transparent, and socially responsible,\u201d emphasising that operational standards are based on international best practices and contribute positively to the sustainable development of Vietnam\u2019s tourism and leisure sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Government resolution No. 8\/2025\/NQ-CP allows eligible Vietnamese citizens to participate in regulated gaming activities at select integrated resorts, including Ho Tram and Sun Group\u2019s upcoming development in Van Don<\/a>, subject to strict eligibility rules and compliance with legal frameworks overseeing casino business in Vietnam. Corona Resort and Casino<\/a> began accepting Vietnamese players under a pilot programme in 2019 and has now been granted permanent permission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Grand Ho Tram has implemented comprehensive entry and access control procedures to ensure participation remains transparent, secure and aligned with responsible entertainment principles under state supervision. The resort\u2019s internal policies are designed to uphold social safety and public order while meeting government requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vietnamese players must be at least 21 years old, have full civil act capacity and demonstrate a stable monthly income of at least VND10m (US$400) or be subject to grade-3 income tax or higher. They must not be subject to written objection from their parents, spouse or siblings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ho Tram\u2019s adoption of a responsible gaming framework<\/a> modelled after best practices from jurisdictions such as Singapore and Macau, including on-site information centres, staff training to identify at-risk behaviours, voluntary self-exclusion tools, and community education initiatives. Ho Tram currently operates 90 tables and 400 machines, with the capacity to expand. Analysts expect the resort to\u00a0reinvest to accelerate development<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
