Australia.- In the third quarter of 2025<\/strong>, New South Wales<\/strong> clubs and hotels took AU$4.9bn<\/strong> (US$3.28bn) in net gaming machine profits, a rise of 8.7 per cent<\/strong> from the same period in 2024<\/strong>. Licensed clubs accounted for about AU$2.71bn<\/strong> (US$1.81bn), while hotels generated AU$2.19bn<\/strong> (US$1.47bn).<\/p>\n\n\n\n For the same period, the state government received over AU$1.4bn <\/strong>(US$937.14m) in gaming tax revenue, with clubs contributing AU$556m <\/strong>(US$378.87m), up 10.6 per cent year-on-year, and hotels AU$835m<\/strong> (US$558.94m), up 10 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Breaking down the quarterly performance, Fairfield in western Sydney<\/strong> led the clubs sector with the highest net profit of AU$128m<\/strong> (US$85.68m), up 8.4 per cent year-on-year. Canterbury-Bankstown<\/strong> achieved second spot with about AU$112m<\/strong> (US$74.97m), a 6.4 per cent increase, while Cumberland rounded off the top three with AU$78m<\/strong> (US$52.21m), up 9.2 per cent. Gaming profits also rose in Blacktown, Liverpool and Penrith<\/strong> during .<\/p>\n\n\n\n The City of Sydney<\/strong> topped hotel gaming revenue, with net profit reaching AU$102m<\/strong> ($68.28m), up 5 per cent from 2024. Canterbury-Bankstown<\/strong> came in second with AU$90m ($60.24m), a 5.9 per cent rise, while Cumberland<\/strong> recorded AU$63m ($42.17m), up 2 per cent. <\/p>\n\n\n
