Arrivals reached 40.06 million in 2025, according to the Public Security Police Force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.- The Public Security Police Force (CPSP)<\/strong> has reported that Macau received a record 40.06 million visitors<\/strong> in 2025, up 14.7 per cent from the 34.93 million entries recorded in 2024 and surpassing the 39.41 million arrivals recorded 2019. The figure was above Macau\u2019s Government Tourism Office (MGTO) forecast<\/a> of between 38 and 39 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Public Security Police Force, travellers from the Chinese mainland <\/strong>accounted for 72.4 per cent of all visitor arrivals, while Hong Kong residents accounted for 18.2 per cent and Taiwan 2.5 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Macau recorded 235 million entries and exits in 2025<\/strong>, up 9.8 per cent year-on-year. According to the CPSP, in 2025, local residents accounted for 36.4 per cent of border crossings, while visitors accounted for 33.9 per cent, non-resident workers and their family members 26.2 per cent, and non-local students enrolled in Macau 3.2 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a separate release, the police said that Macau saw 766,240 visitors<\/strong> from December 31 to January 4 inclusive. The average daily number of visitor arrivals during the period was above 153,200.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The police data may be adjusted by the SAR\u2019s official Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC)<\/strong>, which is scheduled to announce full data on 2025 visitor arrivals on January 23.<\/p>\n\n\n
