That&#8217;s a 7 per cent year-on-year increase. According to figures released by the Financial Services Bureau, tax in November totalled MOP9.27bn (US$1.156bn) after October GGR reached MOP24.09bn (US$3.005bn), the strongest result since January 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under Macau\u2019s current 10-year gaming concession framework in place since January 2023, operators pay an effective tax rate of 40 per cent on casino GGR. Gaming taxes remain the backbone of the city\u2019s public finances, accounting for nearly 82.9 per cent of current government revenue for the first 11 months of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Macau has generated MOP226.52bn (US$28.262bn) in GGR so far this year, an 8.6 per cent rise compared to the same period in 2024. that puts the government\u2019s adjusted 2025 forecast of MOP228bn (US$28.440bn) well within reach.
