That’s a 40.2 per cent increase year-on-year despite a 3.2 per cent drop in pachinko revenue, equivalent to JPY1.9bn (US$12.6m).

The decline in revenue was due to weaker performance in both high- and low-cost halls. Combined revenue from pachinko and aircraft leasing in the six months totalled JPY61.71bn ($409m), 96.8 per cent of that from the same period last year. However, the company’s operating profit rose 14.4 per cent to JPY6.91bn (US$46m).

Dynam highlighted its focus on expense management. It reduced pachinko business expenses by 6.4 per cent year-on-year to JPY54bn ($358m) through machine capacity reductions and energy-saving measures. It adjusted its machine mix at 78 halls, reducing pachinko units and increasing pachislot machines, in response to the rising demand for smart slots. The company added one new hall and closed five, bringing its total to 423 halls.

The pachinko industry is expected to see a continued decline in hall numbers, with smaller operators likely to be most affected. Dynam said it would continue to prioritise cost management and operational efficiency.

   See also:

See also: Palasino Holdings reports 8.2% revenue growth in H1

Dynam Japan reported a 40.2% year-on-year net profit increase to JPY3.07bn for the six months to September 30, 2025, despite a 3.2% decline in pachinko revenue.
