India.- Police in Ravet<\/strong>, Pune, have arrested three men<\/strong> in Punawale<\/strong> for allegedly running illegal online betting through a banned app. Officers said the suspects were funneling money to handlers\u2019 accounts, which were allegedly opened using forged documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravet police\u2019s assistant inspector Sandip Deshmukh said a tip-off had prompted the raid on a housing society flat where the suspects had been staying for the past year and a half. Materials valued at Rs 2.86 lakh (US$3,168) were confiscated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deshmukh added the investigation is ongoing and that the suspects, who are from three different states, would be formally charged once complete.<\/p>\n\n\n
