The venue closed at the weekend as part of Macau’s satellite casinos closures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.- SJM Resorts<\/strong>‘ satellite gaming venue Casino Ponte 16<\/strong> shut on Saturday, November 29, ahead of the year-end deadline for satellite casino closures. All gaming tables and machines from the venue will be redeployed to other company casinos as will local employees directly employed by SJM Resorts. Non-direct employees will receive compensation and priority consideration for future openings, SJM said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SJM had initially planned to acquire the Ponte 16 casino hotel complex. However, the group said it had decided not pursue the acquisition and had signed a mutual termination agreement with Pier 16 Entertainment Group Corp, the owner of the complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of its nine satellite casinos, SJM will only integrate Casino L\u2019Arc. The company has agreed to acquire L\u2019Arc Hotel for HKD1.75bn (US$224.8m).<\/p>\n\n\n
