Grand Ho Tram has confirmed that it has received permission under a five-year pilot programme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, Corona Resort &amp; Casino on <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/vietnam-ministry-of-finance-to-study-ways-of-extending-casino-access-for-locals-in-phu-quoc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Phu Quoc Island<\/a> the only venue that can currently accept local players. It was today granted permanent permission to accept locals under Resolution No. 307\/2025\/NQ-CP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/vietnams-grand-ho-tram-breaks-ground-on-new-us1bn-development\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Grand Ho Tram<\/a>\u00a0currently caters to foreigners only. Located southeast of Ho Chi Minh City, it&#8217;s in the midst of a new 35-hectare development to add a five-star hotel complex, luxury villas, entertainment and an international convention and exhibition centre. The project is a partnership between Lodgis Hospitality Holdings and VinaLiving, part of the investment company VinaCapital. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The other casino that will reportedly accept local players is the upcoming US$2bn <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/sun-group-selected-as-the-official-investor-for-us2bn-casino-project-in-van-don-vietnam\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">development in Van Don<\/a>. This is being developed by Sun Group and is due to open fully by 2032.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Local access to casinos in Vietnam was first tested on a limited basis in 2017. Vietnamese players must be at least 21 years old, have full civil act capacity and demonstrate a stable monthly income of at least VND10m (US$400) or be subject to grade-3 income tax or higher.
