Macau.- SJM Resorts<\/strong> has announced that Casino Casa Real <\/strong>in Macau will cease operations on November 21<\/strong> as the government\u2019s end-of-year deadline for the closure of satellite casinos in Macau approaches. According to a release, all gaming tables and gaming machines operating at the location will be redeployed to SJM’s other casinos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Customers holding chips, deposits, or cash rebates accumulated at Casino Casa Real may visit other casinos from November 22. As with other closures, all local employees will be reassigned to other casinos to undertake gaming-related roles according to operational needs. Local employees working not employed by SJM Resorts will be invited to apply for related vacancies with priority in hiring under equal circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs always, the company remains committed to fulfilling its corporate responsibilities and contributing to the stable development of Macau\u2019s gaming sector in partnership with the local community,\u201d SJM said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Casino Casa Real closure follows the cessation of operations of Casino Legend Palace<\/a> effective yesterday (November 12).\u00a0SJM Resorts has now five satellite establishments: Casino Ponte 16, Casino Kam Pek Paradise, Casino Le Royal Arc (L\u2019Arc Macau), Casino Landmark, and Casino Fortuna. The company plans to integrate the gaming operations at Ponte 16 and L\u2019Arc Macau and close the other four casinos by year-end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In June, the government of Macau confirmed that it had received notifications from SJM Resorts, Melco Resorts and Galaxy Entertainment Group that 11 satellite casinos would\u00a0close by the end of the year<\/a>. In August, SJM Resorts closed Casino Grandview<\/a>.
