Krygyzstan.- The Kyrgyzstan government<\/strong> has announced the unification of private lottery operations under a single state-controlled system as part of an effort to modernise and standardise the sector. The new framework will place all types of lottery draws in the country under state regulation, in an attempt to enable transparency over financial flows, real-time monitoring of sales and payouts and protection from illegal operators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the unified system, the government aims to reduce problem gambling and retain billions of som that it says flow to unlicensed foreign platforms. Officials estimate $1 billion<\/strong> in tax revenues and licensing fees over the next 10 years<\/strong>. All data processing and storage infrastructure will be hosted within Kyrgyzstan, which developers claim will improve cybersecurity and reduce capital outflows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reform is being executed by the Information Security Center<\/strong> in collaboration with state-owned lottery company Kyrgyzloto<\/strong>, the Lottery Information Processing Center (LIPC)<\/strong> and other governmental agencies. While the LIPC will handle real-time data collection on ticket sales, results and prize pools, the Ministry of Finance and State Tax Service <\/strong>will oversee financial and fiscal matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sherik Kasmaliev<\/strong>, director of Kyrgyzloto, said during a media briefing: “Our task is to agree on the rules for conducting lotteries and to form a fund for targeted deductions. We intend to unify the draws and channel the proceeds into useful areas.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
