The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation reported net income of US$243.7m for the January-September period. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Philippines.- The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation\u2019s (PAGCOR) net income totalled PHP14.32bn (US$243.7m)<\/strong> in the first nine months of 2025, up 49 per cent year-over-year.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the agency, revenue from January to September was PHP84.09bn (US$1.43bn)<\/strong>, up 5.87 per cent year-on-year. Gaming operations accounted for PHP75.93bn (US$1.29bn), while other related services and other income contributed PHP8.16bn (US$139m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PAGCOR chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco<\/strong> said the performance highlighted the positive impact of the agency\u2019s governance and modernisation initiatives: \u201cOur financial performance is a clear reflection of PAGCOR\u2019s renewed focus on governance, digital transformation, as well as sustainable and responsible gaming,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agency\u2019s contributions to nation-building (CNB) rose 11 per cent to PHP54.26bn (US$924m) compared to the January-September period of 2024. The agency reported that two-thirds went to the national government as mandated by Presidential Decree 1869. This share, which accounts for 50 per cent of PAGCOR\u2019s gaming revenues minus 5 per cent franchise tax, also covers allocations for the Dangerous Drugs Board and the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PAGCOR also paid PHP3.79bn in franchise taxes and PHP609.87m in corporate income taxes to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). The agency also allocated PHP11bn for its socio-civic projects, including remittances to the President\u2019s Social Fund. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Philippine Sports Commission received its mandated 5 per cent share worth PHP1.80bn, an 8.66 per cent increase from the same period last year, while athletes and coaches who won in international sports competitions received PHP26.54m under the Sports Incentives and Benefits Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other mandated PAGCOR beneficiaries include the Board of Claims, which received PHP142.42m, and the Renewable Energy Trust Fund, which got PHP201.47m. Cities hosting Casino Filipino branches also received a total of PHP508.20m in revenue shares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tengco said PAGCOR remains committed to aligning its growth with public service goals. \u201cEvery peso that PAGCOR earns goes back to the people through classrooms, health facilities, disaster response programs, and other community projects,\u201d he said. \u201cOur focus is to sustain this momentum while ensuring that the gaming industry continues to operate responsibly and contribute to national development.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Figures from the January-September period show a slowing of income generation over the past three months. PAGCOR had previously reported 64 per cent year-on-year increase for the first six months<\/a> of 2025.
