Australia.- The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has issued a series of warning letters for \u201cserious breaches\u201d of Australian gambling law. The warnings targeted operators based in jurisdictions including Cura\u00e7ao, the Netherlands and the Comoros Islands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The warnings were directed to Hollycorn NV, which runs Crown Gold Casino<\/strong>; NovaForge Ltd, operating the Playzilla <\/strong>and Spins of Glory<\/strong> sites; LBC Enterprises, operator of LuckyBet<\/strong>; Ridley Media, managing Joe Fortune<\/strong> and Stellar Ltd (Malina Casino<\/strong>). ACMA demanded that the companies halt activities within Australia and comply with legal requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ACMA warned that failure to comply with Australian legislation may result in further enforcement action<\/a>, including requests for internet service providers to block access to the websites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this month, ACMA requested that Australian online service providers (ISPs) block seven more unlicensed online gambling sites<\/a> for violating the Interactive Gambling Act 2001. The sites are Crown Gold, Maxispin Casino, Rain.gg, Didibet, LuckyBet, Malina Casino, Spins of Glory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ACMA says, 1,338 illegal gambling and affiliate websites have been blocked<\/strong> and around 220 illegal services have pulled out of the Australian market since the ACMA made its first blocking request in November 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n
