Malaysia.- Police have arrested 147 <\/strong>people in a series of coordinated raids across Damansara and Subang Jaya targeting what’s described as one of the country\u2019s biggest online gambling operations. The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) raided seven office and warehouse premises believed to used for designing and producing online gambling platforms, as well as manufacturing slot machines and related spare parts for both domestic and international markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Datuk M. Kumar<\/strong> said that among those arrested were 140 Malaysian nationals (110 men and 30 women) and seven foreigners, including one woman. All suspects are aged between 20 and 50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police seized equipment believed to be used in illegal gaming operations, including 139 laptops, 182 mobile phones, 126 monitors, 84 access cards, five slot machines, six routers and other electronic components. Investigators said none of the premises had authorisation from the Ministry of Finance or any other authority to develop, supply, or promote gambling-related products or online gaming content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPDRM treats this issue seriously and remains committed to upholding the law, particularly in curbing the spread of online gambling,\u201d Kumar said.<\/p>\n\n\n
