Macau.- Casino operator Sands China <\/strong>has reported net income of $273m <\/strong>for the third quarter, up by 2.6 per cent<\/strong> from the $266m reported in the same period last year. According to the data released by parent company Las Vegas Sands Corp<\/strong>, the operator\u2019s adjusted EBITDA amounted to $601m<\/strong> for Q3, a 2.7 per cent increase <\/strong>from 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Analysts suggest that the adjusted EBITDA would have reached $620m<\/strong>, if Super Typhoon Ragasa<\/strong> had not occurred in September, leading to casino closures for 33 hours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sands China’s operations in Macau include The Venetian Macao, Sands Macao, The Plaza Macao, The Londoner Macao and The Parisian Macao. Revenue in the third quarter was $1.43bn<\/strong>, up from $1.37bn. However, casino revenue declined at all properties in Macau, except The Londoner, which saw a 55.3 per cent increase to $525m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the quarter through October 10<\/strong>, Las Vegas Sands bought $337m<\/strong> worth of Sands China common stock, lifting its stake to 74.76 per cent<\/strong>.\u00a0Starting in 2026, the company will increase its annual dividend to $1.20 per share<\/strong>, up $0.20<\/strong> from the previous rate, translating to $0.30 per share<\/strong> each quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The casino firm pointed out that it was the first full quarter since it adjusted its reinvestment rates across its portfolio. Robert Goldstein<\/strong>, chairman and chief executive of Las Vegas Sands, said: \u201cWe remain enthusiastic about our growth opportunities in both Macau and Singapore as we realize the benefits of our recently completed capital investment programs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n
