The partnership of the two government agencies was sealed with the signing of a <strong>Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)<\/strong> held at the PAGCOR Corporate Office in Pasay City on October 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the agency, the donation<strong> covers 70 fully equipped PTVs <\/strong>that will be distributed by PCSO to qualified local government units (LGUs) to improve access to emergency medical transport and healthcare services, especially in underserved areas. Each PTV unit comes with a GPS navigation system, stretcher, medical oxygen, wheelchair and first aid kit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Alejandro H. Tengco<\/strong>, PAGCOR chairman and CEO said: \u201cThese vehicles are not mere means of transport \u2013 they are lifelines that can spell the difference between life and death for those who need immediate medical attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBy combining PAGCOR\u2019s resources with PCSO\u2019s long-standing experience in health-related programs, we can reach more communities and save more lives.\u201d He  thanked PCSO general manager <strong>Melquiades Robles<\/strong> and his team for the collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"505\" src=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/10\/pagcor-pcso-join-hands-to-distribute-php141M-worth-of-ptvs-nationswide-3--900x505.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-777033216\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Officials from PAGCOR and PCSO during the MOA signing ceremony.&nbsp;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The 70-unit donation forms part of PAGCOR\u2019s commitment to provide a total of 246 PTVs to local government units, hospitals, and frontline agencies across the Philippines. Since February this year, PAGCOR on its own has already distributed <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/pagcor-donates-emergency-vehicles-to-local-government-units\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">60 PTV units<\/a> to various beneficiary institutions and agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this month, the&nbsp;<strong>Department of Finance (DOF)<\/strong>&nbsp;awarded PAGCOR a <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/the-philippine-department-of-finance-recognises-pagcor-for-its-valuable-contributions-to-the-national-government\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/the-philippine-department-of-finance-recognises-pagcor-for-its-valuable-contributions-to-the-national-government\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Certificate of Recognition<\/a> for its<strong>&nbsp;contributions<\/strong>&nbsp;to the treasury through dividends amounting to&nbsp;<strong>PHP12.7bn (US$219m) in 2024<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PAGCOR had the third-highest remittance in 2024 after the Landbank of the Philippines (PHP33.5bn \u2013 US$577.6m) and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (PHP18.9bn \u2013 US$325.9m).
