The agency has provided nine new vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Philippines.- The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR)<\/strong> has donated nine Patient Transport Vehicles (PTVs)<\/strong> to local government units (LGUs). The beneficiaries are the municipalities of Mataas na Kahoy (Batangas), Paniqui (Tarlac), Bolinao (Pangasinan), Norzagaray (Bulacan), and Bangui, Carasi, Dumalneg, Pagudpud, and Adams (all in Ilocos Norte).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The donation comes after Typhoon Nando hit Ilocos Norte, leaving widespread flooding. Officials said the new PTVs would be instrumental in disaster response and day-to-day medical emergencies. PAGCOR said that each PTV unit includes a GPS navigation system, stretcher, medical oxygen, wheelchair, and first aid kit to ensure safe and efficient patient transfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PAGCOR chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco <\/strong>commented: \u201cThrough these vehicles, we help ensure that people living in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas can receive timely medical care.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since February, PAGCOR has distributed 60 PTVs to LGUs, public hospitals, frontline agencies, and military units nationwide. The agency recently donated seven emergency vehicles<\/a> to Las Pi\u00f1as City and the municipalities of Tacloban (Leyte), Busuanga (Palawan), San Manuel (Tarlac), Mexico (Pampanga), Kibawe (Bukidnon), and Indang (Cavite).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
