Police froze 44 bank accounts holding INR19.4m (US$232,000).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The investigation began after a complaint on September 9 by someone who lost INR10,000 (US$120) on the AM999 gaming app. \u201cThese apps seemed legitimate, hosted on mainstream platforms, but paid nothing,\u201d Jadhav told police, citing four months of aggressive SMS and mobile ads targeting him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The arrested suspect, Bharmal Meena, 38, from Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, ran a mobile phone shop. Police said they are tracing international fund flows and probing banks for failing to flag suspicious activity.
