That\u2019s a 4.7 per cent rise in year-on-year terms. In July, there were 1.68 million visitors, the highest number of arrivals this year. In August, there were 1.61 million, according to the STB data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There were\u00a0<strong>2.5 million overnight visitors <\/strong>over the two months. That&#8217;s a 2 per cent rise compared to the same period last year. The average stay was 3.55 days, a decrease of 3.5 per cent in year-on-year terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The largest number of visitors came from China (812,690, flat when compared to last year). Indonesia was the second-biggest source market with 386,3600 arrivals. Australia ranked third, providing 206,430 arrivals.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The STB reported that Singapore\u00a0received 11.62 million visitors in the first eight months of the year. That\u2019s an increase of 2.7 per cent when compared to the same period last year.
