Anyone involved in creating, operating, participating in or promoting online gambling faces up to two years in prison, a fine of up to BDT10m (US$81.400), or both.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ordinance specifies that running gambling portals or apps, assisting, encouraging, or advertising such activities are punishable offences under Section 20 of Chapter VI.
