Of the total, PHP41bn (US$716m) came from electronic games (egames) while PHP28bn (US$489m) came from other online game offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBecause of its huge potential, online gaming has become an important source of funds for our nation-building commitments, including PAGCOR\u2019s support for education, health care, and community development,\u201d PAGCOR chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco said in a report to the House Committee on Games and Amusements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the first seven months of 2025, online gaming contributed PHP27.47bn\u00a0(USD480m) to nation-building, including PHP14.72bn (US$257m) for the Universal Health Care Law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEvery peso we collect from the gaming sector translates to meaningful projects such as classrooms for our children, health programs for our people, and safe spaces for communities in times of calamity.
