Sha Tin Racecourse has introduced Champions Connection and Gens\u014d Eki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Hong Kong.- The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) is set to launch its 2025\/2026 racing season on September 7 with new additions at Sha Tin Racecourse. The new Champions Connection and Gens\u014d Eki aim to attract younger audiences and international tourists. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Champions Connection, located at Grandstand II, features digital displays of thoroughbred horses in natural settings, a hall of fame showcasing legendary racehorses like Golden Sixty and interactive jockey lockers. A life-sized robotic horse and a mobile horse sculpture offer photo opportunities, while pop-up kiosks provide food, merchandise and workshops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gens\u014d Eki, a four-storey digital hub, has interactive attractions including a \u201cMaze Race\u201d puzzle, virtual rides on famous horses via Extended Reality technology in the \u201cGens\u014dverse\u201d and the Gens\u014dSnap AI photo booth. Dining options include a casual food hall on the third floor and an Izakaya-style restaurant on the fourth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The developments are part of the HKJC\u2019s US$1.79m Racecourse Master Plan to modernise Sha Tin and Happy Valley racecourses. The Club has already invested over US$1.28m, with an additional US$512m planned for future upgrades. Last season, the racecourses received over 1.7 million visitors, including 195,000 from Mainland China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The HKJC will launch a \u201cHong Kong Racecourse\u201d WeChat mini-programme on September 11, offering tailored itineraries and information in Simplified Chinese. The renovated Penfold Park, reopening in January 2026, will introduce Pony World in April, a family-friendly attraction promoting horse appreciation through educational activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe aim to make our racecourses iconic destinations for locals and visitors,\u201d said HKJC CEO Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges. \u201cThese new attractions will redefine the race-going experience, combining world-class sport with cutting-edge entertainment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n
