The Philippines.- PhilWeb Corporation has announced the appointment of Antonio Hernandez as officer-in-charge and interim president with effect from October 1. Edgar Brian Ng will step down as president and board member on September 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the company, Hernandez will serve in the position until a new president is appointed and approved by the board. He is described as having over 50 years of managerial and executive experience in various industries, including more than 22 years of leadership in the gaming industry within and outside the Philippines.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hernandez\u2019s involvement in the gaming sector began in 2002 when he was appointed president and CEO of Games and Amusement Management and Entertainment Sports Inc. (GAMES), a company responsible for the research and development of Pulltabs for the exclusive use of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR). From 2004 to 2006, he served as a sales and business development consultant for major suppliers in the Philippine gaming industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2006, he joined Entertainment Gaming Asia Philippines (formerly Elixir Gaming Technologies Philippines), a wholly owned subsidiary of Elixir Gaming Technologies. He left the company in July 2010 and co-founded Jade Entertainment and Gaming Technologies, where he served as president and chief operating officer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
